I am a bit of a beach comber. What I look for are interesting shells and stones which I display, paint or use for decorations.

I am always on the look out for fossils and I'm partial to a bit of driftwood too, but my husband draws the line at that although I do sneak some small pieces into the garden.

Thank you for this Linda! I also love collecting things from the beach, especially driftwood. What a lovely display in your pictures! Shells I keep in glassware to display and driftwood (not huge) on shelves.
ReplyDeleteI love the carved box with it's shells and stones, Linda. It's wonderful to be near the beach, and that you can go out collecting. I think driftwood is interesting too and trying to imagine where it's come from.
ReplyDeleteThe main female character in the novel I'm writing has a shell necklace and I keep one on the bookcase which I think would be similar to hers. There's just something special about shells.

ReplyDeleteThis is the East Yorkshire Coast, Jojo. Not as good a climate as Cape Cod, unfortunately, but we just wrap up warm!
