Puffins Galore Part II and Bridlington Railway Stations

Puffins Galore project

The beautifully decorated statues of puffins which by created by various artists and have been gracing East Yorkshire with their presence since July 2022 have now been removed from their plinths. We took the opportunity to revisit the 42 puffins all in one place, at West Building Supplies, Bridlington, before they are auctioned off.

Bridlington station As part of the coronation weekend, Bridlington station was suitably bedecked and there was a ukulele band playing songs about the various stops en route as well as numbers by the Beatles and Kinks. Refreshments were provided in ad of charity.

This King Charles III quilt was made by the Women and Creativity Group who meet every week at the Old Parcels Office in the station.

This is what remains of a North Eastern Railway's tiled map.  The NER had about 25 of these maps made in 1900 by Craven, Dunnill & Co Ltd of Shropshire and were made up of 64 tiles and 8 half tiles,
