In a vase on Monday

Although we have lots of snowdrops and polyanthus in bloom, following on from Cathy, I have also made up a posy of foliage:

Bergenia leaf, Abelia, Ribes and Vinca major.

The Ribes is usually a much darker pink or red and I'm wondering of all the rain has left it almost white?

In A Vase On Monday, which is also known simply as IAVOM, is graciously hosted by Cathy of Rambling in the Garden. Anyone can participate. Simply arrange flowers or other material from the garden in a vase, and share pictures of it with commentary and a link back to Rambling in the Garden. Also, leave a comment at Rambling in the Garden with a link back to your post.

  1. It is amazing what variety of colour, shape and texture one can still find in the garden even after a long period of much rain and little sun.

  2. As Librarian suggests, it's amazing what variety there can be in colour, shape and texture of mostly foliage, and the ribes bloom adds another dimension. There is a white ribes, R laurifolium, which makes a pleasant change from the pink and red varieties - could yours be a sport, do you think?

  3. I think lack of sun has had an effect on the plants. The leaves go very nicely in your pretty vase too.
