Slim pickings this week. A Dahlia which has flowered at long last, variegated Vinca and Weigela and Winter Jasmine.
Also, my kind of fireworks taken at Golden Acre Park, West Yorkshire:
In a Vase on Monday is a weekly tradition started by Cathy. Click on the link to find out what is still flowering in gardens At the end of September and perhaps post a vase of your own.

Golden Acre Park looks wonderful - and you were there on a perfect day for it.
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty pink dahlia, Linda, as is the vinca foliage - is the latter in any way invasive, like its 'blue' cousin is? My sister, sadly no longer with us, would have known that park well, I think
ReplyDeleteThe variegated Vinca has blue flowers and is indeed invasive but the bright foliage cheers up a drive where nothing much else grows.
DeleteWe all seem to be mentioning our slim pickings this week so you're in good company, Linda. I had to smile at your dahlia as I also employed a late-flowering dahlia in my vase this week - all my other dahlias are long gone but this one only just now chose to bloom (and it wasn't what was advertised when I purchased the tuber either).
ReplyDeleteHidden treasures in the garden this time of year are all the more special! Eliza
