In a Vase on Monday

Each Monday Cathy at Rambling In The Garden encourages us to share a vase highlighting what is growing in our gardens so here is my tussie mussie of foliage to start the week:

Variegated Vinca
Abelia
Pine
Winter Jasmine and Flowering Blackcurrant, not yet in flower

Thanks to Cathy at Rambling In The Garden for hosting and giving us an opportunity to share flower-filled vases across the world. Visit her to discover what she and others found to place In A Vase On Monday.

  1. I love your tussie mussie of foliage, and I love the name for a posy-sized bunch! I have been looking at flowering current bushes when I have been out walking over the past few days, and may well snip two or three bits of next week's vase! Amanda

  2. So interesting to read your background, Linda - it is certainly since I finished work that I was able to become fully immersed in the garden (and the blog followed within the year) - a working life seems a million years ago now, but I do feel privileged to have time for the garden and anything else I want to do. I am so pleased you have decided to join us on IAVOM - we have built up such a friendly community, learning from and supporting each other in many ways. It is good to see your vase of mostly foliage, which reminds us that foliage is just as useful as blooms in our vases - and I love to hear the phrase 'tussie mussie' still being used in 2020 :)

  3. Welcome to IAVOM, Linda! I also started blogging - and more serious flower arranging - following retirement. Cathy has built a very supportive network of contributors from diverse parts of the world and I'm pleased to see you've elected to join up.

  5. It's always a pleasure to come across a new IAVOM contributor Linda and another allotmenteer too. Your vase is most attractive. Looking forward to getting to know you and your garden better 😄

  6. Thank you Anna. Unfortunately we had to give up the allotment as the funding and staffing was no longer available to bring the adults with special needs to the site. Containers at the residences will have to suffice.
